Description: The PIRATE is a front-scan infrared search and tracking system, known as FLIR (Forward Looking Infrared). for the Eurofighter Typhoon (EF-2000). Tecnobit is a member of the EuroFIRST Consortium, together with Leonardo (Italy) and Thales Optronics (UK). The PIRATE system equips the EF-2000 with a "passive radar" that scans the space in front of the aircraft and detects and tracks acquired targets without being noticed, giving it a clear advantage in air combat.
