Metal additive manufacturing

Exhibitor:   NOVAINDEF

Sector:   Auxiliary Industry and Machinery

Description:

Through metal powder and filament-based 3D printing technologies, it is possible to manufacture a wide variety of parts with complex geometries and combinations of materials and functionalities.

Thanks to Direct Energy Deposition (DED) 3D printing from Meltio (Linares), part of the Sicnova group, parts made from various metals (stainless steels, tool steels, titanium, nickel alloys, aluminum, copper) are obtained with density levels of 99.9%, greatly exceeding those achieved through other processes like casting. The ability to integrate this technology with robotic arms and machining centers makes it ideal for producing parts of various shapes and sizes.

Metal powder printing processes, while suited for parts smaller in dimension than those obtainable with Meltio's technology, allow for achieving parts with tolerances in the tenths of a millimeter range.
