Mission accomplished, ‘Operation Pacific Skies 24’ successfully concludes.
On September 5, two Air and Space Force fighters intercepted a European military transport aircraft hashtag#A400M, manufactured by Airbus Defence and Space, which was en route between the Madrid base of Torrejón de Ardoz and Morón, in Seville.
This demonstration marked the end of Pacific Skies 2024, a two-month round-the-world military exercise in the Indo-Pacific area in which, in collaboration with the air forces of France and Germany, the Air and Space Force with its Plus Ultra air group, consisting of 4 Eurofighter fighters, 2 from Wing 14 and 2 from Wing 11 of Morón, 2 A400Ms, an A330MRTT, and 240 military personnel deployed in two rotations, achieved numerous accomplishments for the Armed Forces. The Seville air base hosted the briefing that served as an evaluation event on what was achieved in Pacific Skies 24.
Among other participants, it was attended by the Chief of the Air Staff (JEMA), Air General Francisco Braco Carbó, who stated that “it has been demonstrated what we are capable of,” and by the Chief of the Air Combat Command, Lieutenant General Francisco González-Espresati, who described it as “a feat comparable to those of the early 20th century.”The ITE team, as a provider of specialized services for the Armed Forces, extends its congratulations to the Air and Space Force for the success of the feat accomplished and for meeting the planned objectives.
Additionally, we highlight the importance of this mission because we are aware that it also aimed to showcase the quality of the European aerospace industry, of which we are proudly a part.
