The Armada's reason for being is to guarantee the defense of Spain, the security and well-being of the Spanish people and the protection of their legitimate interests, "at and from the sea."

Spain is a nation that looks to the sea, and the Navy is a benchmark for the maritime community, with unique capabilities and trained and committed personnel available to the State at any time, any day of the year, and wherever needed. We are a historic and heroic institution that can always be trusted.

We have a well-prepared Navy, a benchmark in the maritime environment and capable of making decisive contributions also in the land and air. A Navy that is interoperable and reliable for partners and allies.

We are all important in the Navy, civilian and military. Each one of us, with our daily effort, dedication, and commitment, contributes our grain of sand to help improve our institution. We should be proud of who we are and what we do.
